Three years ago today, I married my best friend.
Although, it was only a couple weeks ago that we finally ordered our wedding album.
Although, it was only a couple weeks ago that we finally ordered our wedding album.
Our photographer, Andrew Scalini, is so talented.
We ended up with a disk of about 700 images and that first year, I wanted them all to be included in an album, but three years later, I was able to make less emotional decisions and just choose the shots that worked best artistically.
I ended up hiring Katie Kruithof of Krubooks to put together this layout for us, since I just couldn't seem to get it right myself.
Here is the gorgeous result:
The day of our wedding was unseasonably perfect-sunny, 80 degrees, very little humidity.
(Normal weather on July 5th in Indiana would be gray haze, 95 degrees, very humid).
This was a gift from God since we had an outdoor ceremony planned.
I know it was still hot for those people who sat in the lawn for over an hour waiting for our ceremony to start but really, it could have been so much worse.
That's right, our ceremony started an hour late, (due to some shuttle confusion).
Late enough that Christian had to go make a speech telling everyone that the wedding was still on.
Looking back now, that seems about right...
Of course my wedding would start an hour late.
Anyone who knows me, knows this:
I. Am. ALWAYS. Running. Late.
Not just a little bit late.
Really late.
So, walking down the aisle an hour late just fit me perfectly.
After the ceremony, it was finally time to celebrate.
We enjoyed cocktail hour on the terrace and when the doors to the mansion swung open, everyone was handed a glass of champagne and led to the staircase to listen to toasts.
After toasts, everyone was free to mingle and enjoy the themed food stations throughout the mansion.
And then, we danced...
cut the cake...
and danced some more.
I was even serenaded by the many Sigma Chis who attended our wedding.
Christian and I shared one last dance at the end of the night before exiting through the tunnel of sparklers.
Rumor has it that the real party started when all of our friends boarded the shuttles to head back downtown.
We are still pretty jealous that we missed out on that...
Thank you again to to Andrew Scalini, our photographer, who captured the day in timeless elegance, and to Katie of Krubooks, who put together this classy album, which we will cherish forever.

So fun that you used Katie to create your book, looks like it turned out great!
